Vibrant Peacock Wedding Colors
Celebrating your wedding with a peacock theme is rich in two ways. The first is the symbolism of the bird itself: noble, dignified, graceful, beautiful and full of splendor. However, it is the rich, brilliant hues in the body and feathers that provide such a stunning peacock wedding color palette.

The bright eye of the feather is imbued with, starting at the center, deep plum purple surrounded by turquoise and cobalt blues. Then come golds and browns. Greens follow next with a hint of bright peridot, then emerald and often an olive green.
The primary color of the peacock's body is the brilliant cobalt blue of the neck and chest, with small splashes of black.

Keeping this in mind pick one or two colors that you will boldly incorporate throughout the wedding planning process, from invitations to wedding centerpieces. Think borders, banners, table runners, pew and chair bows, candles and the dominant flower(s) in bouquets and centerpieces
Then use other colors as embellishments to your primary colors. For example, add hints of these colors to invitations, place cards, napkins (tie a ribbon around each), bouquets, centerpieces and dessert.

The bride, groom, attendants and groomsmen can provide color - from hints to bursts. Cummerbunds and vests, cufflinks, hair accessories, shoes and jewelry all provide opportunity to showcase the peacock's jewel like colors. Even nail polish (don't forget about pedicures) are a great way to incorporate color. Bridesmaid dresses, even the bridal gown itself, can feature your favorite peacock color.

Dessert, whether it is being served or there is a dessert buffet, provides ample opportunity to incorporate you colors. The wedding cake can be wrapped in brilliant ribbons and adorned with fondant feathers or just the eyes of the feather. Adding bits of edible gold is a wonderful touch. If you are having a dessert table cupcakes and petit fours can easily be decorated in the a variety of colors. If having many dessert choices, let each choice feature a particular color (or two).
